Sei A is the latest production moniker from Glasgow based producer Andy Graham, a man also responsible for the aforementioned Droido act. Launching his musical career just a few years ago with a series of collaborations with friend Milton Jackson, he has gone on to become one of the most highly respected producers in underground dance music, garnering support from Dj’s as diverse as Satoshi Tomiie, The Freaks, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Shinedoe, Meat Katie, Ashley Beedle, Carl Cox and Danny Tenaglia.
And so… after a string of highly successful singles together, Missive and Graham join forces for the release of the debut Sei A album “Editing Shadows”.
And what a debut it is!
This is truly a benchmark of how good electronic music should sound. From opening cut “Smile for Me” with it’s deep yet hooky vocal sample through to the hidden and untitled finale with it’s melodic and uplifting feel, this is a gem of an album.
Graham has managed to marry the dark side of house music with a warmth and soulfulness that oozes out of every track. His own vocal performances feature on many of the recordings, adding an ethereal and rich feel to his razor sharp production.
High points include “Master of One” the single that had heads turning earlier in the year, “It’s Like” a marvellously edgy piece of electro inspired techno and “Ether” featuring the sublime vocals of Sara Pickin.

Après avoir signés de nombreux maxis sur Urban Torque, Audio Therapy, Missive et Imprime!, Andy Graham aka Sei A se démarque avec son très attendu premier album sur Missive « Editing shadows ». « Editing shadows » s’ouvre mystérieusement sur le titre ‘Smile for me’ qui a fait la renommée musicale de Sei A sur la scène internationale et dont le remix par l’artiste israélien CHAIM a fait le tour des platines des plus grands Djs. « Editing shadows » est un disque mature, intimiste et charnel. Malgré son jeune âge, Sei A a su s’approprier les particularités sonores de Detroit et de Chicago en intégrant à sa musique une sensualité un peu en sommeil dans la vague minimale. On retrouve toute la jubilation de la house music, deep et spirituelle, respectueuse de son héritage qui, progressivement, devient inventive, névrotique et hallucinatoire.
