Dark house and decadent electro anthems is what Clément Meyer is all about. A huge background and a strong technique made the rest : his DJ sets now appeal to a crowd growing massive, eager for his druggy loops and nightmarish peaks.
In 2007, he created www.getthecurse.com, one of the most revered electronic music-orientated blogs. A website where 5 mates with an unconditional love for dirty dancefloors and evil records, from tight and hard electro to venomous house. No surprise Clément Meyer was soon offered a residence at one of Paris most sought-after clubs : the Social Club.
In 2008, He joined Fondation Records, which he now runs along with Danton Eeprom. Another way to go feed an addiction made of creepy warehouses, closed eyes and jaws locked tight. Thus, he became resident Dj of Famous “Baise Main” parties at T bar in London and “Black Thursday” at Rex Club in Paris.
By 2009, Clement’s production talents were picked up by the scottish label Seinan Music (run by the “man to watch” Sei A) and the French Label Family Name (N.A.M.E. Festival). He quickly received amazing supports from artists such as Andrew Weatherall, Simian Mobile Disco, Sei A, Maetrik, Chloé, Ivan Smagghe, Brodinski, Matt Walsh…
Clement Meyer is, today, one the best newcomer of the Parisian scene, be warned : you ain’t done with this Curse…
